Álex Canseco imposed his will on the Snowpeople from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-0 Flint triumph. No one expected much of this team, but the hot start by Flint might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. This latest win lifts their record to 12-5.

Ángel Valdéz had a big 2-run home run for the Crush in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Flint leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Manuel Ríos and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Crush on top, 3-0.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Valdéz. "More importantly, I had a good game."
