Snowpeople Get Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Snowpeople grabbed a win, 4-3, at The Igloo, overcoming a fine effort from Capital Hill pitcher Kent Nelson. Nelson went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The Interns drop to 7-10, as their stumbling start to the 2061 season continues.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Ellesmere Island shortstop Takao Kamida, facing Ed Cook, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Snowpeople the 4-3 win.
"It never gets old," said Kamida. "Winning, that is."
