At The Stage in Memphis, the Memphis Music and Bompton Baby Lakers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The exploits of second baseman Greg Jones, who is tied for 10th in the SA- in doubles with 19, helped the Bompton Baby Lakers defeat the Memphis Music, 5-1. Jones belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the win, Bompton has a record of 41-40. Memphis falls to 39-42.

Jones contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Bompton in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Jones took a changeup from Don Finley and stroked the home run to left. His 22nd home run of the season allowed the Baby Lakers to leap in front, 2-1.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Jones.
