Warheads Take Tight Tangle
In a low-scoring contest between the Amarillo Warheads and the Shady Side Zoomies, Matthew Hamm, who is tied for 9th in the SA- with a 7.3 K/9 rate, proved to be the difference. The Amarillo right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Warheads win. Cecil Cornett got credit for the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. The 6th-place Warheads have won 5 in a row.

Neil Rogers came through for Amarillo when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike fastball to center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.

Rogers said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
