Warheads Trip Zoomies, 5-4, in Extra Innings
The Amarillo Warheads racked up a win at Terriers Ballpark, bumping off the Shady Side Zoomies, 5-4, in 11 innings. Juan Fernández, who started for Amarillo, pitched effectively for his team. Rafael Balita, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The win puts Amarillo at 30-52.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Cullen Thompson came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Shady Side pitcher Jesús Moreno, he hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Amarillo on top, 4-3.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Thompson.
