|
The Shady Side Zoomies faced a tough opponent in Surprise pitcher Craig Jacobs, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Terriers Ballpark by a final score of 5-2. Jacobs went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, Shady Side raised its record to 46-36.
Shady Side got a knockout punch from Earnest Thomas. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Thomas said after the game.
