Toros Topple Crossbeaus, 11-5, as Rustler Shines
The Tijuana Toros defeated the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 11-5, at Toros Ballpark. Tijuana was led by 20-year old center fielder Jimmie Rustler, who was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The 8th-place Toros hiked their record to 31-51.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Glen Lowe had a game-changing hit. The Toros shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Arturo Rojas, making the score 7-5, Tijuana.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Lowe.
