Heath Now 7-5 Following 3-0 Win
|
Right-hander Bob Heath mesmerized the Flint Crush while leading the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 to a 3-0 victory. Robbie de Groot was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 18 save opportunities. The victory gives the Liberty U-21 a record of 48-34.
Heath ran roughshod over the Flint lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. With the victory, he goes to 7-5 on the season.
"Really, really impressed with the way Bob competed and executed pitches," said Philadelphia manager Santiago Paez.
