Couch hits 11th home run to Power Baby Lakers Offense
|
No one was more impactful than Jeremy Couch in the 10-7 Bompton win over Maine. Couch, who is tied for 7th in the SA- in RBI with 45, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Tommy Kramer nailed down his 16th save. Bompton leads the Silver Low A by 8 games.
Couch contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Bompton in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Couch took a splitter from Petya Machalica and stroked the home run to right-center. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Baby Lakers to leap in front, 4-2.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Couch. "Just do my job."
