Ducks Suffer 2-1 Loss to Capital Hill
The Capital Hill Interns eked out a 2-1 win versus the Long Island Ducks at Alouettes Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Francisco Torres. He was terrific. Torres picked up the win for Capital Hill, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Pedro Puglisi earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.

The Interns took the lead in the bottom of the third when Miguel De La Garza banged a two-out single. Capital Hill had been trailing 1-0, but De La Garza hit a first pitch fastball from Horace McKenzie Jr. for a 2-run single.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Don Martin.

Long Island is 10-9 after the loss.
