The North Ft. Myers Gators were defeated, 3-1, by the Ogallala Octopi at Nebraska Aquarium, even though Tanner Williamson pitched well for North Ft. Myers. António Calderón picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 3 in 5.1 innings. Taki Ohayashi recorded the save, his 2nd.

With two out in the bottom of the third, António Martínez hit a go-ahead, 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and with it the Octopi took a 2-0 lead.

"The other side played a good game," said North Ft. Myers manager Felipe Palazzola. "You tip your cap to them."

The win lifts Ogallala to a record of 11-8.
