Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Napanee Express and Tijuana Toros.

The Napanee Express earned a close win over the Tijuana Toros, thanks in part to Ed Baker. The Napanee right-hander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2056 draft, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. The save was credited to Boryenka Ahmadishin, his 5th.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Express had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the second, when right fielder Robbie Shaw hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Mark Mitchell and made the score 2-1, Express. Shaw went 2 for 5 with 2 singles.

"The old adage is true," said Shaw. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

The triumph makes Napanee 7-13.
