Shady Side Zoomies starter Jung-keun Kim turned in a top-notch performance against the Beaumont Crossbeaus at The Target. The result was a win for the Zoomies, 7-2. The winning pitcher was Kim, now 8-5. He tossed 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. With the win, Shady Side raised its record to 47-38.

Shady Side won the game in part because of Ken Quesada. The left fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Zoomies ahead, 5-0. For the game, Quesada had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Kim after the game.
