The home crowd had a good time watching the Long Island Ducks and Tijuana Toros get after it.

The Tijuana Toros stormed past the Long Island Ducks, 12-5, at Toros Ballpark. Tijuana first basemanBart Lewis, Jr. , who is tied for 10th in the 3A- with a .320 batting average, led the hit parade. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Chet Reyes, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 4.

Chipping in for Tijuana was center fielder Mauk Olthuis. He stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Olthuis went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Olthuis told the Tijuana Observer.

The Toros now have a mark of 14-7.
