Zoomies Deal Crossbeaus 5-3 Setback
Shady Side starter John Dodson had a strong outing against the Beaumont Crossbeaus at Terriers Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Odwin Koens came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-3. Picking up the save was Brian Taylor, his 9th.

In the bottom of the sixth, Shady Side third baseman Felipe Torres put his team on top. With two out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 8th home run of the year. Beaumont pitcher Bengt Kos served it up. Just like that, the Zoomies were ahead, 4-3.

"It was a good effort all around," said Dodson.

The win makes Shady Side 35-51.
