Memphis Music starter Doug Morgan pitched his team past the Amarillo Warheads, 4-2. With this game in the books, Memphis is 47-39, Amarillo 50-36.
Memphis used the clutch hitting of Orlando Núñez to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Music ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
Amarillo manager José López said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
