Martínez Plays Big Role in Bethlehem Win
|
Bethlehem Angel Kitties starter Jorge Martínez turned in a top-notch performance against the Quebec City Baby Blues at Dylan Park. The result was a win for the Angel Kitties, 5-2. Luka Bachev got credit for the save for Bethlehem. It was his 13th of the year. Bethlehem occupies third place in the Silver Low A at 50-37.
The Angel Kitties liked what they saw from Martínez. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Baby Blues to 1 run on no hits over 6.2 innings, and striking out 8.
Martínez told the Bethlehem Daily: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
