Angel Kitties Handle Quebec City, Snag 7-4 Win
|
Quebec City center fielder Manuel Pueblo had a good game, even if his team did not. The Baby Blues dropped a 7-4 decision to Bethlehem at Dylan Park. Pueblo went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Lee Kennedy, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2060 draft, was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Pedro Duarte earned his 4th save, after closing out the game.
Bethlehem used a clutch at-bat from Carlos Dávila to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Angel Kitties ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Dávila told the Bethlehem Citizen.
Bethlehem now sits at 6-16, while Quebec City falls to 12-10.
