Tijuana Toros starter Doug Mahoney pitched a strong game against the Watford City Trash Pandas at Trash Panda Field, leading the Toros to victory, 6-3. The winner in relief was Yin-reng Guo. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-4.

Tijuana used a timely hit from Walt Paul to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toros ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Doug had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Tijuana manager Derek Jones.

Tijuana is now 50-38. Watford City is 36-52.
