The Napanee Express topped the Flint Crush, 9-1, in M3L Low A action at Paints Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Napanee pitcher and Safety Harbor, Florida, native Marty MacDonald. MacDonald, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. Manny Mejía nailed down the save.

Mark Frost had a big 2-run home run for the Express in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Napanee leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a slider from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Boudewijn van Oosterom and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Express on top, 3-0.

"Marty gains confidence in the confidence we have in him," said Napanee manager Dan Bond.

Napanee has a record of 10-12, placing them 8th in the Menard's Low A.
