Liberty U-21 Earn 1-0 Win Versus Beavers
The Philadelphia Liberty U-21 had to overcome a fine effort from Northwest Territory pitcher Robin Cecchini to win, 1-0, in 10 innings at Beaver Town. Cecchini went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Martín Machado earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 6-3. Philadelphia is now 58-30, 4 games up in the Silver Low A.

Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Emmett Fairchild to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Liberty U-21 on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker. "The effort was great."
