The Ogallala Octopi and Flint Crush played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

In a low-scoring contest between the Ogallala Octopi and the Flint Crush, Casey Coleman was the X factor. The Ogallala left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Quincy Tuffin collected his 6th save.

Joe Parker had a big solo home run for the Octopi in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Ogallala leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Dan Caine and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Octopi on top, 2-0.

"Casey did a nice job," said Octopi manager Dewitt Hopper.

The 9th-place Crush dropped to 37-52.
