Starting pitcher Rory May pitched well enough to help the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople beat the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 5-3. The last-place Snowpeople have won 4 straight games.
Ellesmere Island took a 5-1 lead on Tim Steele's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Steele hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Beaumont pitcher Vincent Jones visibly frustrated.
