Echo Park got a big-time effort from designated hitter Jeremy Dean, but it wasn't enough to keep the Montana Pandas from winning the game, 7-6. Dean threw 7.1 innings of 1-hit ball for the losing team. Montana is in third place in the Silver League with a record of 24-20.

Montana needed the clutch hitting of Basilio Penni to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Pandas on top, 7-6. For the game, Penni had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Penni told the Montana Herald. "It's as simple as that."
