The Ogallala Octopi, despite a fine performance by Memphis pitcher Reggie Nuijs, grabbed a 2-1 win at The Stage in Memphis. Nuijs allowed no runs over 5 innings. The 7th-place Octopi are now 40-50, the Music 43-47.

Mashashi Matsuoka came through for Ogallala when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike sinker to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.

"Tough loss," said Memphis manager Omar Casteneda. "Tough one to swallow."
