The Long Island Lighthouse defeated the Oakland Oaks, 7-4, in United States Silver League action at The Oak Grove. Long Island pitcher Bernardo Rivera had a standout performance. Rivera went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-4. The win puts the Lighthouse at 28-16, while the Oaks drop to 18-26.

Long Island used the clutch hitting of António Macías to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Lighthouse the lead, 4-1. For the game, Macías had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Macías told the Long Island Chronicle.
