Brian Olsen was a major contributor to the 5-4 Napanee win over Ellesmere Island. The Express left fielder went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Scot Dixon snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 2-2 on the season. Scott Bates earned the save for Napanee, his 8th.
In the bottom of the seventh, Napanee designated hitter Jim Henry put his team on top. With two out and the bases loaded, he hit his 7th double of the year. Ellesmere Island pitcher Will Stephens served it up. Just like that, the Express were ahead, 5-4.
"We ground out the win," said Henry. "That's all that matters."
The Express are now 14-10, while the Snowpeople fall to 12-12.
