Ducks Reel Off Another Win
|
Behind a fine performance from Pierre Dubreuil, the Long Island Ducks knocked off the North Ft. Myers Gators, 5-0. Dubreuil went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Ducks. Armando Torres finished the game for Long Island and earned his 2nd save. Long Island has now reeled off 15 straight wins.
With Long Island leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Dubreuil came up to bat against North Ft. Myers pitcher Tom Horton. Dubreuil hit a sinker to right-center for a run-scoring triple. His 4th triple of the season put the Ducks on top, 2-0.
"The positive vibes are all around the clubhouse," said Ducks manager Cody Blackburn. "Once you see a player having a good at-bat, that's really contagious."
