Ramón Gonzago could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Tijuana Toros lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. Steven Cowan got the save, the 27th for him this season. The Snowpeople are now 53-39.

Ellesmere Island went up, 2-1, on Jerome Miller's 12th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Miller hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tijuana pitcher Justin Sherman shaking his head.

Afterward, Snowpeople manager Rodrige Margalha was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
