Cecchini Deals Ogallala 6-0 Setback
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers topped the Ogallala Octopi, 6-0, in USSL Low A action at Nebraska Aquarium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Northwest Territory pitcher Robin Cecchini. With the win, Northwest Territory goes to 49-44, while the Octopi fall to 45-48.
The Beavers liked what they saw from Cecchini. The 20-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Octopi to no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 6.
"I thought we played a nice game," Cecchini told the Northwest Territory Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
