Thomas Erak had a good game, but he could not keep the Napanee Express from falling, 5-4, to the Moose Jaw Canucks at Paints Ballpark. The Napanee shortstop was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Joe Woolsey picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-3. He struck out 3 in 6 innings. Arturo Pérez recorded the save for Moose Jaw, his 4th of the season.
In the top of the third, Moose Jaw right fielder Armando Sandoval had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Sandoval stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 5-1, Moose Jaw. For the game, he was 1 for 4.
"Enjoyed this one," Sandoval told the Moose Jaw Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Moose Jaw now sits at 12-13, while Napanee falls to 14-11.
