Crossbeaus Claim 4-2 Triumph
The Beaumont Crossbeaus topped the Hicksville Hounds, 4-2, at Hound Pound. Beaumont center fielder Jed Dye was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Carlos Herrera earned the win for Beaumont. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 5-6. The Crossbeaus sit in 7th place in the Silver Low A with a record of 45-48.

Beaumont took the lead on Dye's 3rd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came against Ernesto Arroyo in the top of the seventh, made the score 3-1, Beaumont.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Art Manning.
