The Philadelphia Liberty U-21 picked up a win at Ballpark of Liberty, taking down the Ogallala Octopi, 2-1. Starting pitcher Pete Gross was a big reason why. The Liberty U-21 have an impressive 63-31 record.

Gross, the winner, is now 10-5, after putting the clamps on the Ogallala offense. In 7 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while collecting 9 Ks.

"Pete pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Philadelphia manager Luis Costello.
