The Ladue Rams topped the Surprise Shockers, 5-3, in USSL Low A action at Shockers Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Ladue pitcher Duncan Holloway. Rafael Gómez got credit for the save for Ladue. It was his 10th of the year. The setback makes Surprise 50-44.

Ladue used a clutch at-bat from Brad Sharp to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rams ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Holloway. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
