The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople licked the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 7-3. Frank Douglas deserved a big chunk of the credit. The catcher was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Snowpeople. Ellesmere Island reliever Luis Roelands picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Iván Espinoza took the loss. Ellesmere Island is now 54-40, while Bethlehem is 45-49.

The Angel Kitties had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Snowpeople going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old right fielder Matt Owens came to the plate. Owens hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 fastball from Bethlehem hurler Iván Espinoza. It was Owens's 16th double of the year.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Owens. "And not try to do too much."
