The Greenport Harbor Whales downed the Flint Crush, 9-1, at Ballpark of Robbins. Stellar pitching by Dan McFarland had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the 3A- in innings pitched with 39.0, handcuffed his opponent all game. McFarland yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-1. The Harbor Whales improved their record to 12-14 by beating Flint.

Rak Kuhn helped out the Greenport cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3 with a walk, while scoring 2 times.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said McFarland.
