Ramírez, Zoomies Too Much for Shockers
No one was more impactful than Ramiro Ramírez in the 13-9 Shady Side win over Surprise. Ramírez went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Stewart Dawson came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-3. The third-place Shockers now sit at 55-40.

Jesús Gonzáles provided a timely hit. The Shady Side pinch hitter delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Zoomies on top, 12-9. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Shady Side skipper Ralph Gilbert.
