Thomas Schools Surprise in 3-0 Philadelphia Triumph
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 and Surprise Shockers.

The Surprise Shockers went down to defeat to Willis Thomas and his Philadelphia teammates. The final score was 3-0, in favor of the Liberty U-21. The Liberty U-21 have an impressive 58-37 record.

Thomas, a native of Carrollton, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Surprise hitters off-balance, while giving the Liberty U-21 8 quality innings. Thomas threw 93 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 4.

"Willis did a tremendous job," said Philadelphia manager Santiago Paez.
