Rams Fall, 3-1, to Surprise

The Surprise Shockers picked up a win at Shockers Field, courtesy of Stanley Daniel. The right-hander helped his team stop the Ladue Rams, 3-1. Ángelo Torres earned the save for Surprise, his 6th of the year. Surprise is now 51-44, Ladue 43-52.
The Shockers got an important contribution from designated hitter Simon Earle, who in the bottom of the third knocked a full count fastball to left for a 2-run double. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Shockers ahead, 3-0.
"Stanley gave us everything he had," said Surprise manager José Montalópez.
