The Shady Side Zoomies picked up a win at Terriers Ballpark, knocking off the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 3-2, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Joachim Ruttman played a key role in the triumph. Shady Side reliever Richard Roche picked up the win to move to 6-2. Vern Peña suffered the loss. With the win, Shady Side raised its record to 49-47.

The Zoomies procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Kyle Mays. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

Mays told the Shady Side Herald: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
