The Beaumont Crossbeaus knocked off the Capital Hill Interns, 6-4, at Alouettes Ballpark. It took 10 innings. Héctor Castro was a prime reason Beaumont won. The left fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kenny Flint was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 11 save opportunities. Beaumont used a timely hit from Tom Phoolery to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Crossbeaus ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
