Victors Again, Bompton Win Streak at 9
|
The Bompton Baby Lakers stifled the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 5-1, at Field of the Browns. Leo Murdoch had his hitting cap on. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles for Bompton. The win was credited to 20-year old left-handed pitcher Alois Stadler in relief. His record improves to 4-0. José Morales took the loss. The save went to Zhi-jan Wu, his 2nd this season.
With Bompton leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Jeremy Couch hit a 2-run single off Beaumont pitcher José Morales. It put the Baby Lakers ahead 4-0.
Murdoch attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Baby Lakers improved to a lofty 68-28.
