Sea Dogs Fall to Trash Pandas, 6-1
|
Watford City picked up a win at Sea Dogs Park, bumping off the Maine Sea Dogs, 6-1. Pitcher Wayne Horne was a major reason the Trash Pandas emerged victorious. The 'W' lifts Watford City's record to 41-55.
Watford City used a well-timed hit by Tony Mendoza to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Trash Pandas ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"Wayne did a tremendous job," said Watford City manager Mike Hunt.
