Ballard catcher Joe Hoffman had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Long Island Ducks, 7-0. The Beavers move to 18-12 with the win, while the Ducks drop to 18-12.

With two out in the top of the fifth, Windle Poons put Ballard in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring single. The Beavers went on to win the ballgame.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Hoffman told a local reporter after the game.
