Toros Stick Ducks with 5-1 Loss
|
Tijuana pitcher Mark Mitchell did his part in helping his team beat the Long Island Ducks, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The 4th-place Toros lifted their record to 17-13.
Glen Lowe, who is tied for 10th in the 3A- in stolen bases with 2, contributed to the Tijuana win with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Enjoyed this one," Lowe told the Tijuana Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
