Express Lose Late to Ducks
The Napanee Express had their hands full with Long Island Ducks starter Julián Lucero, who frustrated Napanee hitters while leading Long Island to a comfortable, 7-1 win. The win was credited to Tim Thompson in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ed Cunningham took the loss. The triumph puts Long Island at 16-14 for the season.

Long Island took a 2-1 lead on Pedro Miranda's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Miranda hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Napanee pitcher Scot Dixon visibly frustrated.

"Julián has got a slow heartbeat," said Long Island manager Don Martin. "He doesn't panic or anything."
