Baltimore Grounds was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
Eddie Daniel never let Kingston Township get something going. The Baltimore left-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Bullets to a 2-0 win. In 7.2 innings, Daniel surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Yong-zhan Long earned the save for Baltimore, his 3rd of the year.
The Bullets got an important contribution from third baseman Randolph White, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a first pitch fastball into left-center for a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Bullets ahead, 2-0.
"Winning is the only objective," said Daniel after the game.
The win makes Baltimore 19-27.
