Behind a fine performance from Joel Pinch, the North Ft. Myers Gators knocked off the Memphis Music, 16-6. Pinch went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 2 for the Gators. North Ft. Myers pitcher Carlitos Laboro got the win, upping his record to 4-0. Mike Sherman got the loss. Nando Arnoldi was credited with the save for North Ft. Myers, his 1st of the season.

Killian Lopez had a big grand slam home run for the Gators in the bottom of the fifth inning. With North Ft. Myers leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from Mike Sherman, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A- with a 8.9 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Gators on top, 8-3.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Lopez.
