The Quebec City Baby Blues beat the North Ft. Myers Gators, 4-3, in part because of third baseman Alfredo Gómez. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Quebec City reliever Hou-kang Wu picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jorge Gallegos took the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Quebec City right fielder Corey Browning, facing José Porcallo, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Baby Blues the 4-3 win.

Quebec City manager Andrés Ventura praised his team's "energy."

Quebec City is now 16-15, North Ft. Myers 21-10.
