Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople and Ballard Beavers.

The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople topped the Ballard Beavers, 4-2, in M3L Low A action at The Igloo. The game was highlighted by the performance of Ellesmere Island pitcher Peter Pace. Ellesmere Island is 9th in the Menard's Low A with a record of 13-18.

Ellesmere Island took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Júlio Cruz hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Snowpeople in front, 3-2.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Pace.
