The Napanee Express wasted an impressive 8.1-inning effort from starter José Salazaro, falling, 2-1, to the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople in 10 innings at The Igloo. Ellesmere Island, with the win, climbs to 8-24.

The Snowpeople got a clutch hit from third baseman Kuan Huie. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Snowpeople.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Napanee manager Dan Bond.
