Ellesmere Island beat North Ft. Myers on the strength of starter Phil Drew's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. The save went to Lao-che Khoo, his 5th this season. Ellesmere Island is now 13-19.

The Snowpeople got an important contribution from catcher Eulogio Churruca, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 1-0 slider into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Snowpeople ahead, 2-0.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Drew.
