Downward Spiral Continues for Ogallala
Greenport registered a win at Ballpark of Robbins by beating the Ogallala Octopi, 5-1. Pitcher Fernando Rodríguez was one reason why the Harbor Whales triumphed. The winner was Rodríguez. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Greg Stone. Ogallala is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.

The Harbor Whales got a big hit from center fielder Leonard Kawhi. Facing Ogallala pitcher Layton Irving in the bottom of the sixth, Kawhi pounded a 2-run double to center. His 1st double of the season put the Harbor Whales ahead, 5-1.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Rodríguez.
