6-1 Loss Extends Tijuana Skid
Dan Cortés was outstanding against Tijuana. The right-hander, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2052 draft, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Harbor Whales 6-1 win. Álex Tobías earned save number 1 this season. The misery continues for the Toros, which has now dropped 11 in a row.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Harbor Whales had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the sixth, when second baseman Gilberto Padilla hit a 2-run single. The single came off Patrick Martin and made the score 4-1, Harbor Whales. Padilla was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Padilla told the Greenport Herald. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
