The Ballard Beavers clipped the Capital Hill Interns, 6-3, in 10 innings at Alouettes Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Ballard pitcher and Addison, Illinois, native Rafael Flores. The save went to Stewart Holman, his 1st this season. Ballard occupies second place in the Menard's Low A at 20-13.
Flores, who was born in Addison, Illinois, threw 96 pitches over 7.1 innings, while allowing no runs.
"Rafael did a heck of a job," said Ballard manager Giddy Potts.
